The Equipment team is responsible for fleet acquisitions, fleet management, international maintenance and continuous improvement so that Toll can continue to provide service quality.
**Job Description**:
We are looking for an experienced Transport Compliance Officer to join our Equipment team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Equipment Design Manager, you will provide centralised management and support for equipment compliance tasks in the Permits & Accreditations space. You will manage and maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and accreditations for Toll Group's operations in accordance with local, regional, and national regulations.

As the Transport Compliance Officer, you will:
- Administer equipment permits & accreditations including Performance Based Standards (PBS), National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) and Main Roads WA, road access and other related permits and accreditations
- Administer and set new equipment compliance schedules required under permit or accreditation requirements
- Record & investigate data to ensure compliance
- Liaise with government and other regulatory agencies as needed
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand operations and requirements for all programs that for part of the Regulatory requirements. This includes EWD, user guide for driver, mass reports setups
- Ad hoc administrative/data entry duties as required (i.e. purchase orders)
**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in permits and road transport compliance
- Ability to provide advice and input to Equipment Compliance Manager on initiatives and issues
- Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle regulations, standards, practices and policies
- Thorough and practical understanding of CoR
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills
- Microsoft office suite expertise including Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint
