Compliance Officer Opportunity

  • Monitoring and managing developments, changes in legislative and regulatory obligations is a key aspect of this role.
  • The ideal candidate will provide expert advice to the business on effective management of compliance obligations and performance improvement.
  • This involves implementing and maintaining a robust compliance framework and procedures, as well as engaging with relevant regulators.
  • Additionally, the Compliance Officer will support the organization in identifying and self-reporting on compliance issues, including investigations and remediation plans.

Responsibilities

  • The Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing incident reporting and corrective actions, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to prevent future occurrences.
  • They will also manage NHVAS compliance for Victoria Operations, monitoring and managing Mass Management, Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), and Chain of Responsibility (COR).
  • Audits on logbooks and maintenance sheets will be conducted by the Compliance Officer, who will also carry out safety audits and toolbox talks with drivers.
  • Furthermore, the Compliance Officer will manage maintenance sheets and facilitate training for fleet management.

  • The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of road legislation, NHVAS, and fatigue management regulations is essential.
  • Administrative and transport operational skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, are required.
  • High attention to detail and organizational abilities are also necessary.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Transport and Logistics industry is beneficial.
  • Previous experience as a Compliance Officer is desirable.
  • A Heavy Combination (HC) or Medium Rigid (MC) license is preferred but not essential.
