Our Supply Chain team play an integral role in Kmart's rapid growth journey and safety continues to be of paramount importance. With the increasing transportation needs across our retail network, has risen a new opportunity for a Transport Compliance Manager to join this highly focused and engaged team In this role, you will lead and support safety initiatives across Distribution Centres (DCs) in Australia and New Zealand in ensuring transport compliance & assurance, in the Chain of Responsibility, through collaboration with DCs, Stores and 3PL partners.

**What you'll be doing**

As a Transport Compliance Manager working for Kmart you will:

- Lead the identification and design of strategies and programs which support the organisations supply chain network to work together to achieve improved outcomes and compliance.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of CoR related policies and procedures - including the planning and development of compliance related processes and procedures.
- Undertake workplace inspections in both Australia and New Zealand and identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to ensure compliance with relevant legislative provisions.
- Manage CoR compliance requirements and ensure all parties are aware of their obligations and responsibilities.
- Represent the business by working with regulatory bodies, government departments and stakeholders engaged by the company to support safety requirements.
- Complete internal audits as scheduled, ensuring effective communication and management of internal audit findings and recommendations to resolve corrective actions.
- Represent the business in investigations into all Heavy Vehicle incidents and assist in developing preventive and corrective actions.
- Support the procurement team in executing new contracts/agreements in line with compliance measures.
- Work across varied project streams extending beyond transport compliance, to DC Operations and International Supply Chain, providing great variety in learning opportunities

**To be successful in this role you'll have**:

- A thorough understanding of national heavy vehicle legislation and other relevant legislation
- Experience in incident investigations
- Exposure to project management in previous roles would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and communication skills combined with the confidence to influence outcomes
- Experience in auditing, training and developing teams to create a compliance-oriented mindset across teams.
- Demonstrated ability in building strong stakeholder relationships and the ability to navigate across all levels
