Drive the ownership between David Jones and our payment partners in this newly created role within Financial Services. Reporting to the GM of Financial Services, you will strategically drive relationships with a suite of payment providers that drives outcomes for all and our customers. The Partnerships Manager will drive the commercial benefits of the financial services partnerships and work to deliver new and improved solutions.

As a true leader, you will coach and inspire a team of Product and Marketing specialists to drive best in class digital experiences and innovation in the customer journey. Naturally commercial, you will use your extensive experience in financial services to grow acquisition and spend targets in line with our strategic objectives.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit an experienced, driven and commercially astute relationship manager, looking to make an impact in the financial offering and services for David Jones customers.

What does the role involve?
- Strategically Prioritise offers and opportunities with the best outcomes for David Jones across all tenders accepted
- Developing partner implementation and Marketing innovation investment plans
- Leading the priorities and obligations to ensure the best outcomes for the business and our partners
- Working with internal stakeholders, to develop a trade plan that leverages payment partners at key Retail moments
- Working closely with Treasury and Finance on contractual agreements
- Understand the commercial benefits of the financial services partnerships and work to deliver new and improved solutions that are optimised from a customer point of view
- As the SME, make recommendations to the business around new opportunities
- Perform benchmarking against other Retailers in the payments space, and stay abreast of broader payments trends

Who are we looking for?
- Understanding of Financial Services and Retail
- Experience in Partner relationship management (BNPL & strategic Alliance partners)
- Proven ability to drive outcomes across multiple clients and stakeholders
- Commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and EBIT targets
- Strong Account Management skills
- A degree in Marketing or business-related field is essential
