**About the opportunity**

Here at Australia Post, we are embarking on a search for Head of Remuneration and Performance to join our wonderful People & Culture team. As our organisation has embarked on a journey of change, transformation and modernisation; as to has our People &Culture function. This is a critical leadership role; which owns the strategy & delivery of our Remuneration, Reward & Performance function. If you enjoy working in a strategic role, which interfaces with board & executive stakeholders, influences key leadership and will bring our vision to life of aligning remuneration & reward to a performance driven organisation, then this could be for you

**What you'll deliver with us**
- Designing and implementing the strategy for a number of core people related processes including cyclical performance reviews, the enterprise remuneration and recognition scheme, global mobility, immigration and team member benefits and discounts.
- Working closely relevant teams across People & Culture to deliver processes relating to cyclical performance and remuneration, and advocating for the transition of services where relevant (e.g., Cyclical Delivery team, Planning & Deployment team)
- Lead the continued build and development of employee benefits and discounts offers extending to the wider workforce and improving choice and accessibility
- Identify, design and implement continual improvements to policies, processes and practices in relation to all elements of the portfolio
- Establish agreed service level agreements with key internal stakeholders to ensure a structured and reliable approach to sourcing the required inputs for all performance and remuneration activities
- Embed monitoring and control mechanisms to enable a consistent approach to all responsibilities, related decision-making and increased data integrity across the organisation
- Manage financial aspects of the remuneration, performance, benefits portfolio, including purchasing, budgeting and expenditure
- Leads a culture within the Function that fosters the One Australia Post approach, focuses on safety & wellbeing, and puts the customer at the forefront of all activities and decisions
- Has a drive for solving problems and creating new commercial value
- Work closely with P&C leadership teams to ensure the needs of each Business Unit are addressed and develop solutions which are fit for purpose
- Passionate and knowledgeable about emerging trends in people, safety, employee experience and P&C technologies, particularly in relation to performance and remuneration

**You'll also have;**
- 10+ years of experience in a human resources / people and culture role, with exposure to performance, recognition, benefits and remuneration
- Significant experience in formal written communications e.g., Board papers, Shareholder submissions
- Experience in the delivery of People & Culture activities including cyclical performance and talent, employee recognition, benefits, and remuneration
- Strong leader with ability to influence and guide a team through change
- A strong understanding of themes and trends in the remuneration sector across enterprise organisations

You have a strong passion in aligning remuneration & performance strategy with organisational success. People buy into you as a result of your strong ability to influence with data but also have a strong ability to understand people & challenges and enable the organisation with pragmatic and valuable solutions.

**You'll also need**
- Experience with board writing
- Ability to partner with the executive leadership team and influence data driven remuneration decisions
- A strong ability to take a vision into a strategy
