Key Role in Capital Works Project Management

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex capital works projects from feasibility through to construction and completion.

Main Responsibilities
  • Project managers are expected to coordinate infrastructure projects across building and open space.
  • Developing project plans aligned with a structured project management framework is essential.
  • Leading consultants, contractors, and stakeholders ensures timely delivery within budget and scope.
  • Conducting feasibility assessments, preparing business cases, and managing stakeholder engagement processes are crucial skills.
  • Procurement, contracts, and tender documentation require close attention to detail.
  • Ensuring all projects meet safety, environmental, and quality standards is paramount.
About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Urban Design, Planning, Landscape Architecture, or similar field is required.
  • Experience delivering capital works or public realm projects in local government or consultancy is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively is critical.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, contract administration, and regulatory compliance is necessary.
  • Effective communication skills with excellent written and verbal presentation skills are required.
