We are seeking a
Laboratory Manager
to join our team in the dynamic Haematology Laboratory at Royal North Shore Hospital.
This is a leadership role within one of Sydney's most respected healthcare institutions. Our laboratory provides an efficient and effective service across operational management, compliance management, financial planning and reporting, department performance monitoring and reporting, corporate risk management, human resources management and strategic planning.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the laboratory, providing leadership and guidance to staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
The ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Science or Medical Laboratory Science
Proven leadership and operational management skills and experience
Extensive experience in Haematology with demonstrated understanding of Routine Haematology, Coagulation, Flow Cytometry and Morphology
Experience with quality improvement and risk management
Strategic thinking and professional networks in a pathology specialty relevant to the laboratory

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Hold a valid NSW Health clearance
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Please note that this position requires a Category A clearance, which involves a police check and other assessments.
