Haematology Laboratory Technician Position

The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is seeking a skilled Haematology Laboratory Technician to join the Haematology / Blood Bank teams.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Westmead, offering a range of opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Haematology Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for processing blood samples for Haematology and Blood Bank tests in accordance with laboratory method manuals.

Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will work closely with the Haematologists and Senior Hospital Scientist to ensure accurate and timely test results.

Requirements
  • Associate Diploma of Health Sciences (Pathology Techniques) or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in a Haematology laboratory environment
  • Experience working in a blood bank laboratory setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proficiency with laboratory computer systems
