**What you'll do**

As an After-Hours Support Worker, you will be empathetic and enthusiastic about making a difference to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You will have the ability to juggle competing demands in a crisis setting with women who have significant issues requiring support such as AOD, mental health, trauma, disability, and homelessness.

This is one of the few homeless services in Victoria that employs and accommodates women only. The facility includes 15 single client rooms and offer short term accommodation for up to 8 weeks, individual support, and advocacy services for women 18 years and over. This program focuses on supporting women in crisis to work towards a stable future. Our East St Kilda site provides emergency accommodation for people who identify as female and are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

Working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that uses innovative housing practices, this exciting and challenging position offers applicants the opportunity to build and empower the lives of people experiencing homelessness.

**What you'll bring**

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualification and experience working in an after-hours role in Crisis Accommodation. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be passionate to work and support some of the most vulnerable women in Victoria.

**_ Special conditions:_**
- Launch Housing is relying on exceptions contained in sections 28, 60 and 88 of the EO Act to employ and accommodate women and those who identify themselves as women at this site.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination or a valid Covid-19 Vaccination Exemption certificate, Working with Children and police checks are mandatory at Launch Housing.
