Overview
Fujitsu is seeking a Software Asset Project Coordinator in Canberra, ACT, Australia.
This 12-month contract role is based in Canberra with hybrid working arrangements.
The role involves lifecycle management of software assets within the ICT environment, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, usage tracking, renewal, and decommissioning of software licenses, subscriptions, and entitlements.

The successful candidate will oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, usage tracking, renewal, and decommissioning of software licenses, subscriptions, and entitlements to ensure governance, reporting obligations, and to support software rationalization and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update the centralized Software Asset Register.
Monitor and manage software licensing usage across desktop, server, and cloud environments.
Liaise with vendors and resellers regarding licensing terms, renewals, and audits.
Collaborate with Procurement and Finance to ensure software entitlements are procured, renewed, and retired according to demand.
Reconcile entitlements against deployments to identify under- or over-licensing issues.
Provide reports and dashboards related to software utilization, risk exposure, and cost tracking.
Advise project and delivery teams on software licensing implications for new procurements or upgrades.
Conduct internal reviews to ensure compliance with license agreements.
Support responses to external software audits or license verifications.
Recommend improvements to software asset management processes and tools (e.g., ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, or Snow).
Assist in the rationalization of unused or duplicative software to reduce costs and streamline platforms.
Collaborate with IT Security, Cloud Services, and Application Owners to align licensing with technical and operational requirements.
Ensure compliance with government procurement, financial, and ICT asset management policies.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in software asset management tools such as ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, or Snow.

Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end software asset lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, tracking, renewal, and retirement of software licenses and subscriptions.

Proficiency in software asset management tools such as ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, or Snow, with the ability to recommend process improvements.

Proven capability to contribute to license optimization and cost reduction strategies.
