Job Title: IT Asset Manager

As a seasoned IT Asset Management professional, you will thrive in this role if you have a passion for software governance and optimization. You will oversee the full lifecycle of software assets, ensuring visibility, control, and compliance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of software asset management processes to ensure visibility, control, and compliance
  • Development and maintenance of robust policies and procedures aligned with ITIL best practices
  • Leveraging platforms like ServiceNow to manage centralized software asset repositories
  • Monitoring software usage, entitlements, installations, and licensing across diverse environments and vendors
  • IDentification of cost-saving opportunities through usage analysis and licensing optimization
  • Delivery of risk assessments and compliance reports to support audits and vendor reconciliations
  • Partnership with procurement, finance, security, and operations teams to manage software assets end-to-end
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in IT Asset Management within mid-to-large scale ICT environments
  • Deep understanding of licensing frameworks for major vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, VMware)
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow for asset discovery and compliance tracking
  • Strong grasp of ITIL principles, especially in Asset and Configuration Management
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable trends
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and executive levels

Apart from the mentioned requirements, desirable extras include certification or hands-on expertise in ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM), experience supporting contract negotiations and vendor audits, familiarity with Hardware Asset Management (HAM), CMDB, and procurement workflows, and a background in regulated or high-security environments with strict compliance standards.
