**About the role**:
As the successful applicant, you will be a part of a specialist team assisting the Chief Examiner/Examiner and Victoria Police to exercise the provisions of the Major Crime (Investigative Powers) Act 2004. The office is comprised of the Chief Examiner and an Examiner, legal practitioners, intelligence practitioners, operational police managers and VPS professional support staff. By providing administrative support to all of these specialist areas, you will be making a valuable contribution to community safety by servicing a framework to combat and reduce the incidence of organised crime offences in Victoria.

**Your duties will include**:

- The provision of professional high level administration services to the Chief Examiner, Examiner, workgroup managers and other staff.
- Accountability for the initiation, delivery and improvement of all administrative support functions, including mail and diary management, management and coordination of key meetings and processes and drafting correspondence.
- Managing the budget and finances of the Officer of Chief Examiner, inclusive of contract negotiations to provide goods and services required to support the unit.
- Co-ordination and management of contractors attending at OCE premises.
- Supporting the role of the Chief Examiner and Examiner, including the provision of support for examinations and when required, performing the functions of the OCE Examinations Co-ordinator._ _
- The collation, collection and delivery of legal and other highly sensitive documents, attending various locations within the Melbourne CBD.

**About You**:

- Experience working within a legal, regulatory or similar administrative environment, dealing with highly confidential material.
- Experience working flexibly across multi-disciplinary teams in a shared workspace, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise and multi-task in order to meet defined priorities, often working to challenging time frames.
- Experience with or the demonstrated ability to use multiple electronic systems and databases.
- Financial budget management experience.

- This position is located at Office of Chief Examiner, 8-14 Cobden Street, North Melbourne.
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
