OverviewThe AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 LOC Office is seeking a Medical Coordinator to support the Medical Operations and Anti-Doping program areas for the LOC delivering the tournament in Australia.
This is a part-time fixed-term role until March 2026.You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC) established to deliver the 2026 edition and will work to ensure medical services align with event requirements, regulatory standards, and the program's milestones.ResponsibilitiesAdministrative and clerical support for the Medical Operations Manager and Medical and Anti-Doping program areas.Liaise with stakeholders including the AFC Sports Medicine Unit, Stadiums, Training Sites and other LOC program areas to coordinate medical projects and milestones.Efficient and appropriate scheduling of meetings and liaison with key parties involved.Assist with the operational planning and delivery of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers into Official Training Sites.Oversee the rostering process for EMS providers at Training Sites and Venues and for Medical Officers on match days.Act as a point of contact for medical-related administrative queries from external stakeholders.Facilitate communication between the medical team, AFC and other program areas.Assist in budget tracking for medical resources and services.What Gets You in the Game?
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Sports Medicine or related discipline).
Experience with medical administration, preferably within an elite sports environment.Strong understanding of sports injuries, medical terminology, and rehabilitation processes.First Aid/CPR certification.3–5 years of demonstrated experience in planning, organising, managing and supervising medical services for events or comparable sectors.Proficiency with common electronic software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel).
Readiness for stand-by duties during the tournament.Knowledge of Football Australia, AFC or FIFA medical regulations is an advantage.Ability to be physically present in a host city during the competition period.High flexibility to meet changing priorities and variable working duties.Ability to sustain high performance and problem-solving with limited supervision.Discretion and confidentiality in handling information.Demonstrated ability to work with agility, foster trust, embrace inclusivity, collaborate as one team, and strive for excellence.Offside ConditionsFull working rights in Australia (note: sponsorship is not available due to fixed-term nature).
Working with Children Check (or state-based equivalent).
International Criminal History Record for each country where you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable).
