We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Medical Secretary to join our team.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Secretary to work directly alongside Medical Oncologists and Cancer Nurse Coordinators, coordinating appointments and treatments to ensure optimal outcomes for cancer patients undergoing medical oncology.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Provide high level patient service including meeting patient needs and maintaining patient service levels.">
  • Remain highly organised to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where patient focus remains the top priority.">
  • Demonstrate high interpersonal skills to build professional relationships with external doctors and clinicians.">
  • Anticipate patient appointment needs and schedule appointments within appropriate timeframes.">
  • Manage all incoming referrals relevant to the team/doctors, triage referrals with Cancer Nurse Consultants and undertake clinic preparation actions.">
  • Ensure clinic billing is complete and reports are complete as required.">
  • Work co-operatively and effectively within our multidisciplinary teams.">

    • Exceptional medical administration experience and medical terminology with previous experience working in busy medical clinics.">
    • High level communication skills, providing excellent patient care and communication.">
    • Self-driven and able to work successfully, independently and in a fast-paced team environment.">
    • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills to enable resolution of urgent matters and time critical medical appointments.">
    • Proficient in clinical administration systems, as well as Microsoft Office software.">
    • Collaborative approach in working with the wider administration team and both internal and external customers.">
