**About the Role**:
We have a 12-month fixed term contract available for an experience External Reporting Lead to join our Financial Reporting & Governance Team.
This role will be responsible for managing the delivery of Coles half-yearly finance statements, managing preparation of Audit & Risk Committee reporting papers, supporting the provision of ASIC reporting, and overseeing management of the DOA mailbox and compliance.
You will also;
- Manage delivery and completion of all external audit requirements by coordinating activities across Financial Control
- Manage and monitor open internal control findings raised by the external auditor
- Manage the Financial Governance Monitoring Program
- Support annual reviews of Coles group finance policies
- Support business and internal stakeholders on ad-hoc projects requiring financial / technical accounting assistance and/or involvement (i.e. new business opportunities / initiatives)
**About you and your skills**:
You will ideally have;
- CA/CPA or similar business qualification, or near with commercial awareness and business focus
- Significant experience in an external audit role and/or a financial control/external reporting role
- Financial experience in a retail/FMCG/complex environment desirable
- Listed experience desirable
- Experience with report writing (board/A&RC reports and financial governance policies)
