Title: UX Researcher
Duration: 6 months (more likely 1 year)
Location: Sydney (Hybrid – 2 days remote and 3 onsite; but likely Mon & Fri remote; Tue, Wed, Thu onsite)
Responsibilities
Plan and design effective user research
Conduct user research using a wide variety of qualitative research methods such as usability testing, moderated interviews, concept evaluation, surveys, and literature reviews
Analyze and report research findings, distilled into effectively communicated actionable insights and product recommendations
Qualifications
MA/MSc or PhD in Experimental Psychology, Design Research, Human Factors, Social Sciences, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Science, or related fields, or demonstrable equivalent practical experience
3+ years of relevant applied experience conducting user research
Solid experience with at least two or more of the following methods: usability studies, concept evaluations, competitive evaluations, literature reviews, diary studies, user interviews, surveys
Strong ability to manage, synthesize, and analyze both quantitative and qualitative datasets
Ability to create effective visualizations (charts, plots, etc.) using software such as Google Sheets, R, Python
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience creating visually polished, engaging and persuasive slide decks to communicate research findings
Ability to prioritize time between multiple projects and adapt to changing schedules
