**About the role**:
Reporting to the APD State Manager NSW, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our Distribution Division. The position will be responsible for developing and executing the sales plan and strategy for selling of Ampol products with a focus on driving and increasing fuel and lubricants sales and market outcomes.
You will collaboratively work with the operations team and drive business growth through maintaining and building our customer pipeline's volume and margin with a requirement to travel to Sydney, Tamworth, Casino and Dubbo.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Strategically promote Ampol products and services.
- Identify and support local community partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Execute marketing plans through customer events and pop-up marketing installations.
- Represent APD at local community, customer, brand, sales and sponsorship events.
- Build and foster strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers.
- Negotiate business terms and propose pricing /margin levels.
- Gather market intelligence on local competitor behaviour and price feedback from customers.
- Support frontline operations with day to day customer management and enquires
**About you**:
You have proven success in a sales management role with a high level of sales strategic skills and passion in driving results to execute sales growth. Your interpersonal, communication skills and ability to build customer relationships will help you thrive in this role.
You have a 'can do' attitude, self-driven and ability to work autonomously.
**Key skills and experience**:
- Experience in developing and executing sales strategies, clear goals and standards.
- Demonstrate exceptional negotiation and solutions focused mindset.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or Finance are desirable.
- Knowledge and experience in the Fuel industry and/or farming and agriculture are desirable.
- Strong problem solving and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Flexible to travel.
