About the Role
**The key responsibilities of the role include**:
- Coordinating the flow of executive correspondence (such as Director-General, Ministerial and Parliamentary correspondence and briefing materials) across People Branch through thecorrect allocation of incoming correspondence to business units and tracking of responses against timeframes.
- Effectively manage systems and processes across the branch, negotiating deadlines and timeframes, and liaising with staff to ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate confidently with staff at all levels including key correspondence contacts, senior staff and the Office of the Deputy Director-General - structuring written and oral communications to ensure clarity while responding to all enquiries in a courteous manner and within appropriate timelines.
- Working across the branch to ensure the delivery of a high-quality correspondence management service and continually seeking improvements in administrative systems and processes, leading by example and seeking feedback from stakeholders.
- Maintain a detailed working knowledge of the department's policies, processes and electronic records management system.
