Caterpillar Mining Finance is a global team within the Structured Finance business unit of Cat Financial and is responsible for facilitating the mining equipment financing requirements of Caterpillar's Resource Industry customers through the use of structured equipment finance and corporate debt facilities.
Customers include global mining houses, mining services providers and junior/startup mining companies.About The Opportunity:The role of the Senior Sales Support Representative is to provide support across the Caterpillar Mining Finance – Asia Pacific sales team and is regarded as a development role with the future potential to move to a more senior role within the sales team.Job Duties Include But Not Limited:This position is responsible for assisting the sales team in originating domestic and international financing opportunities as well as actively researching industry trends and markets for new business with both large mining customers and junior miners.Working closely with the senior sales team, the role will be required to provide support for originating opportunities, preparing financial proposals and quotes, conducting due diligence, working with the credit team on credit approvals and the operations team on the overall document execution process as well as assisting to manage the customer relationship over the life of the contract and beyond.Key skills requirements for this role include;Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organisation's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.Qualifications and Experience:University Degree in a Business/Finance or similar qualification would be desirableMinimum of 4 years relevant work experience in leasing and equipment financeStrong analytical and modelling skills coupled with sound commercial judgment and negotiation abilitiesTrack record in managing customer relationshipsThis role requires 10% domestic and some international travelAdditional Information;Sponsorship is not availableWorking environment - 5 days in officeEmployee Benefits:Salary – We offer competitive remuneration package, including attractive bonus and share options.Parental Leave – Generous parental leave policy and you can choose how you take your leave (full pay or half pay)Diversity and Inclusion – At Caterpillar we are committed to diversity and inclusion, equal opportunity and equal outcome.Discounts – We have staff discounts across health insurance, shopping, food, health & wellbeing and travel.Global Presence – As Caterpillar is a global company, we have many career opportunities across the globe and have training and development opportunities.Posting Dates:September 8, 2025 - September 21, 2025Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
