Caterpillar Financial is Caterpillar's wholly owned captive financier, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Caterpillar Mining Finance is a global team within the Structured Finance business unit of Cat Financial and is responsible for financing Caterpillar's mining equipment through structured equipment finance and corporate debt facilities. Customers include global mining houses, mining services providers and junior/startup mining companies.

Opportunity

The role of the Senior Sales Support Representative is to provide support across the Caterpillar Mining Finance – Asia Pacific sales team. This is a development role with future potential to move to a more senior role within the sales team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the sales team in originating domestic and international financing opportunities.
  • Research industry trends and markets for new business with large mining customers and junior miners.
  • Provide support for originating opportunities, preparing financial proposals and quotes, conducting due diligence, and working with the credit team on approvals.
  • Support the operations team on the document execution process and help manage the customer relationship over the life of the contract and beyond.

  • Customer Focus: Align customer needs and satisfaction with business decisions and solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of industry trends, regulatory considerations, and major issues relevant to mining finance.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations and reach informed decisions.
  • Effective Communications: Clear transmission and interpretation of ideas and needs.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Value Selling: Demonstrate product/service value and differentiate offerings to meet customer needs.
Qualifications And Experience
  • University Degree in Business/Finance or similar (desirable).
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in leasing and equipment finance.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills with sound commercial judgment and negotiation abilities.
  • Track record in managing customer relationships.
  • Travel: 10% domestic and some international travel.
