Geotechnical Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in guiding project direction through detailed ground investigations, analysis, and design for infrastructure and building projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage site investigations, laboratory testing, and associated health and safety requirements
Conduct geotechnical analysis and design (e.g. foundations, retention systems, earthworks, seismic assessments) for buildings and infrastructure projects
Interpret ground conditions and prepare technical reports and geotechnical documentation
Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and clients to deliver high-quality, fit-for-purpose geotechnical solutions
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and client relationship building
Requirements:
A degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with or working towards a Master's in Geotechnical Engineering) and eligibility for chartership
3-4 years experience in geotechnical design and construction, with sound knowledge of the Sydney ground conditions
Proven ability to deliver geotechnical solutions using industry-standard software and engineering judgement
Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
