Project Kuiper's goal is to increase global broadband access by launching a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit.

The team will develop innovative tools for monitoring, operating, and scaling ground network infrastructure to support millions of users worldwide.

Main Job Responsibilities
  • Achieve operational excellence through automation and process improvement
  • Collaborate with network, systems, and software engineering teams to ensure efficient deployment of new designs and products
  • Design and develop tools to measure and improve the performance and availability of the Kuiper Ground Infrastructure
  • Lead operational excellence projects to enhance network performance and reliability
  • Provide critical operations support and incident response for the service
  • Serve as the Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the operations of Kuiper's ground gateways and backbone connectivity
A Day in the Life

Mentoring, Design, Operational Excellence:

Work closely with business partners, leadership, and other engineers to influence and lead the design of networks and systems.

Daily tasks will vary between automation or scripting work, operational excellence initiatives, design meetings, coordination with engineering teams and external partners, and an on-call rotation.
