Downer's Industrial and Energy team have an opportunity for a **Cost Controller **to join their team based **Wollongong, NSW**. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, this role will primarily be responsible for assisting with reports and cost control functions.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Preparation of Valuations/Applications for Payment, Cost Reports;
- Management of subcontract and material procurement schedules;
- Assist with reconciling of budget reports;
- Check and update purchase Order values in all cost reports;
- The administration of subcontractor/supplier accounts;
- Contract administration, including change management and maintain associated registers;
- Coordinate with Accounts and Procurement team to ensure inventory stock numbers are accurately reported;
- Take responsibility for time-critical cost reporting; and
- Analyse weekly Financial reports and provide insights on variances to the leadership team

To be successful you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or Extensive experience;
- Experience in Cost Control ideally gained within the Mining Industry;
- High attention to detail, information process and problem solving capability;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- High levels of motivation and excellent time management and organisational skills; and
- A flexible and adaptable approach to changing demands within the business.
