Job Title: Portfolio Controls Specialist

This role involves developing and implementing portfolio, program, and project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure high-quality information is available for planning and managing the portfolio's finances.

About the Role:
  • The Portfolio Controls Specialist will lead the development and implementation of systems, processes, and procedures for project budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with program and project managers to develop monthly forecasts.
  • Consolidate forecasts and report on monthly budget versus forecast (actuals and estimate to complete cost).
  • Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts.
  • Review procurement items (POs, accruals, etc.) to ensure forecasts accurately reflect the portfolio's financial position.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate accounting transactions are executed (resource cost charges to projects, recoveries completed, etc.).
Requirements:
  • A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Significant experience in providing project financial support services across various high-project portfolios.
