Overview

The Learning and Development Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development function. It is responsible for a variety of duties including working closely with stakeholders to identify targeted solutions to meet skills or knowledge gaps and build essential capabilities within the workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of learning and development initiatives
  • Provide administrative support to capture training attendance and record keeping
  • Assist with planning, development and implementation of staff learning and development strategies
  • Ensure administrative processes related to learning and development are maintained and record keeping is consistently applied
  • Assist with scheduling of learning enrolments and ensure value for money is achieved
  • Monitor and report on learning and development budgets and programs
  • Maintain quality customer service and create value for the community
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar, or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role with ongoing professional development
  • Database management experience
  • Experience in identification of learning opportunities and needs
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying methods to address learning opportunities and needs
  • Understanding of the Australian Qualifications Framework
  • Knowledge and understanding of local government operations and systems
  • Strong written and reporting skills to provide information and recommendations at various levels, with experience using Microsoft Office and electronic records management
Location

Central Coast NSW, New South Wales

Salary and Benefits
  • Commensurate with experience; commencing salary up to $76,951.86 per annum with progression up to $89,160.44 per annum on assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
  • Temporary full-time position available
  • Hybrid and flexible working conditions (2 days from home, 3 days onsite)
  • 9-day fortnight option
