We have an exciting new opportunity at nbn, for a Outage Notification Specialist Reporting to the Executive Manager - Major Incident Management.
A bit about your role
The Outage Notification Specialist is a key member of the Network Operations team within Customer & Network Services. The role provides timely, targeted and relevant communications to internal and external stakeholders during Incidents, Emergency Events and Planned Change Activities for all technologies across a 24/7 roster.
The accountabilities of this role will include, translating technical information to clear, concise language that is easily understood.
Responding to RSP questions or escalations that relate to Incidents, Emergency Events or Change Activities.
Supporting the Major Incident Management function with high priority network and IT incidents.
Engaging in and support projects and initiatives to improve communications tools, processes, and technologies.
A bit about you
This role requires a very strong ability to communicate technical issues to internal stakeholders, senior management and external customers along with advanced written / verbal communication skills with extensive experience in writing and developing reports.
The Outage Notification Specialist will have the ability to understand the activities of diverse technical and communicate this information to business stakeholders.
Any qualifications in telecommunications or computer technology would be ideal, in addition to this experience working in an incident management or communications role with substantial experience in Operational processes and Telecoms OSS/BSS environment would be highly favourable.
