Key Role Overview

This is a high-level position for an experienced professional who will be responsible for managing outage schedules and coordinating network access. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electricity distribution networks and compliance standards. They will also have experience in problem-solving and managing complex challenges.

About the Position

This is a key leadership role within our organization's Access and Outage Planning team. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of planned outages of the electricity network. You will ensure safety of personnel, the public, and plant, achieve organizational targets, minimize costs, re-work, and impact on customer supply reliability.

The role has a hybrid split (Office/WFH) and can be based in any major depot. It is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead a team and make a real impact in the industry.

Responsibilities
  • Outage Scheduling and Coordination: Lead a team to manage outage schedules and coordinate network access, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Promote a positive, productive work environment through mentorship and coaching, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry standards, including customer notification protocols, and identify and mitigate risks associated with planned outages.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and maintain high performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) targets, and contribute to data accuracy and risk mitigation in all planned outages.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leadership positions, mentoring and developing team members, and promoting a positive, productive work environment.
  • Electrical Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of electricity distribution networks and compliance standards, including knowledge of industry safety standards and codes of practice.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience in managing complex challenges and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
