Animal Emergency Centre Gold Coast is a leading emergency and critical care veterinary hospital dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets when they need it most. We are seeking a friendly and organized Afternoon Receptionist to join our dynamic team.

**Position Overview**:
As an Afternoon Receptionist at Animal Emergency Centre Gold Coast, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals seeking emergency care during the afternoons. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist pet owners and their animals with warmth and compassion.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient admissions.
- Verify and update client information in the electronic medical records system.
- Assist with payment processing, insurance verification, and billing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Handle basic administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing.
- Contribute to the overall positive and professional atmosphere in the clinic.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Organized and detail-oriented with good multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using office software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations.
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is a plus.
- A genuine love for animals and a passion for their well-being.
