Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Animal Emergency Centre Gold Coast.

This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment during afternoons.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals seeking emergency care, managing a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, and verifying client information.

A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will ensure efficient patient flow and maintain a clean and organized reception area. Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist pet owners and their animals with warmth and compassion.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient admissions.
  • Verify and update client information in the electronic medical records system.
  • Assist with payment processing, insurance verification, and billing inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Handle basic administrative tasks, such as data entry and filing.
