To meet our growing demands, we are looking for a Manager Environment, Carbon and HSE Systems to join our team.

**The Role**

**Reporting to the GM HSE & Geomatics, the Manager Environment**, Carbon and HSE Systems position is a composite role that has the breadth of responsibility for the HSE standards and assurance across Arrow as well as the corporate environmental management aspects, including technical environment and regulatory compliance and carbon management.

This role supports the GM HS&E and Geomatics in the development and implementation of the HSE strategy.

This is a Brisbane based position and will require occasional travel to our field operations as required, with plenty of notice.

**In addition you will**:

- Manage the HSE assurance framework. This includes gaining assurance of the various Arrow functions for their respective conformance to the Arrow HSE standards and relevant regulatory HSE compliance requirements. The role supports the GM HS&E and Geomatics in the governance of HSE matters in Arrow. The stewardship of the HSE standards is also a key accountability of this role.
- Stewardship, on behalf of the VP HSE, of the environment component of the Arrow HSE Plan. The Plan will contain a description of "base-load" environment work, as work as improvement programmes aimed at progressively building up the organisation's systematic approach to environmental risk and compliance requirements.
- Identify and strategically manage potential compliance issues, including interaction with key Arrow line departments and external bodies.
- Provide strategic direction on the company's carbon arrangements, as well as accountability for technical carbon reporting under the NGER, Clean Energy and, EEO Acts.
- Establish effective interaction with the Environment Manager Operations & Projects including regulatory compliance support and assurance.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to consistently role model Arrow's values, code of conduct, safety and the environment.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Model inclusive behaviours to create a safety environment where different views and perspectives are encouraged and valued.

**About You**
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to contribute to a high performing-team with a second-to-none focus on safety and integrity.

**To be considered for this role, you will ideally have**:

- University degree or equivalent qualifications in health, safety and environment
- Post-graduate qualification in environmental management and environmental Auditor qualifications are desirable
