**About the role**

**This is a full-time work-from-home role based in Queensland or NSW. This position will be required to travel to remote project sites throughout Australia from time to time.**

We are seeking experienced and motivated Carbon Farming Project Officer to join our team. In this position you will effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure the successful execution of projects.

To be successful in this role you will need to understand how farm businesses operate, and how carbon farming activities can be practically applied in a business. You must be a self-starter, highly motivated and committed to our long-term mission to enhance farm productivity, improve soil health, and sequester carbon across agricultural landscapes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage client relationships by providing a quality service and communicating effectively
- Ensure all project administrative, procedural, legislative and methodology determination requirements are met
- Ensure all project record keeping, documentation, reporting and auditing requirements are completed
- To engage with regulatory bodies to seek guidance on issues and maintain a productive relationship,
- Maintain awareness of legislative and regulatory changes and advise management of any proposed or implemented changes
- Provide advice on legislative or regulatory issues internally and to clients
- Ensure policies and procedures comply with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining a positive image for Carbon Link with all external parties and stakeholders
- Ensure that the quality of all work undertaken is of a consistently high standard to comply with all recognised codes or standards.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Qualification in Environment, Science, Agriculture, or a related field
- Relevant experience from an Environmental Science, Agriculture, Natural Resource or similar background
- Ability to read and interpret legislation and subordinate legislation
- Tech savvy, proficient with MS Office suite and online communication apps
- A passion for regenerative agriculture and carbon emission reduction
- A manual driver's licence and experience on rural roads

**Highly Desirable Knowledge**
- Understanding of Carbon offset methodologies under Emissions Reduction Fund
- Basic to intermediate mapping software experience (ArcGIS or QGIS)
- Project management
