**The Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an HSE and Training Lead for our Brisbane office, supporting the business at a national level. This is a great career opportunity to join a team that delivers exceptional outcomes for our clients across various market sectors. You will support the design of digital resources, lead others by training the trainer and furnish assessment strategies for assurance purposes.

**What you will do**:

- Partner with key stakeholders to deliver influential People & Safety solutions
- Provide information, instruction and training to management and staff on workplace health and safety issues, including relevant legislation and policy
- Help Project Managers establish new projects, including Principal Contractor projects and provide in-field advice, support and monitoring of HSE system implementation.
- Actively support HSE forums and empower them to implement strategic initiatives in collaboration with business leaders
- Lead or participate in HSE investigations as required
- Maintain HSE data within the company's systems to enable timely and accurate reporting (iSMS, Master Safety Data etc.)
- Communicate & collaborate with Workplace Managers to monitor that all building-related health & safety elements are in place and effective
- Provide hands-on HSE assistance to proposals as required and projects where availability can be made (e.g., HSE Management Plans, HSE project start-up, HSE monitoring and assurance)

**What we will love about you**:

- Typically, 5-10 years of HSE and training experience in a mining, construction or related environment within tier-one organisations
- Hold relevant formal HSE, training, and training qualifications
- Sound knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework and mandatory training requirements by legislation
- Have demonstrated experience in the design, development and delivery of accredited training packages
- Ability to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to provide technical advice on a range of HSE issues.
- Excellent professional report writing skills.
- Experience in incident management, investigation and corrective action management.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
