HSE Manager - Cairns
Permanent | $140-$160k + Super
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety, and environmental functions for a growing commercial construction business based in Cairns. This is a permanent, site-based role—no FIFO.
What you will do- Lead the HSE function and provide guidance to leadership and project teams.
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with Queensland HSE legislation and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Monitor HSE performance and implement improvement initiatives.
- Deliver HSE training and foster a positive safety culture across the business.
- Support incident management and reporting processes.
- 5+ years\' experience in HSE management, ideally in commercial construction.
- Tertiary qualification in HSE, Engineering, or related field; Cert IV WHS minimum.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland HSE legislation and industry standards.
- Proven ability to implement HSE systems and drive cultural change.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Competitive salary $140-$160k plus super.
