About the role
As the TAC's newest Serious Injury Coordinator, you'll manage all pre-litigation aspects of Serious Injury applications and resolve granted common law matters.
This role is critical to he success of the Common Law Protocols, requiring exceptional organisation, deep knowledge of serious injury and common law processes, and strong stakeholder management.
You will handle a high volume of matters within a delegated authority, ensuring efficient, just, and cost-effective outcomes for clients injured in transport accidents.
Key responsibilities within this role include assessing applications, facilitating Serious Injury conferences, negotiating settlements, and delivering high-quality customer service in line with TAC's values of making every conversation count and simplifying the complicated.
About the Team
As part of the Resolutions Group within the Clients Division, the Common Law branch plays a vital role in achieving the TAC's mission of supporting clients' recovery and independence.
Our team collaborates closely with legal representatives, medical practitioners, and internal stakeholders to drive positive client outcomes, return-to-work initiatives, and financial scheme performance.

You'll work in a supportive environment that encourages coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement to meet strategic priorities and manage future liabilities effectively.
What we're looking for
Highly Developed Stakeholder Engagement Skills
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including legal professionals (Senior Barristers and Solicitors) and medical practitioners, to achieve satisfactory outcomes for all parties.
Superior Negotiation & Decision Making Skills
Extensive experience in negotiating complex claims and making timely, accurate decisions based on medical, forensic, and legal data, with a strong understanding of alternative dispute resolution.
Specialised Knowledge and Analytical Expertise
In-depth knowledge of medical and paramedical terminology, traumatic injury treatments, and current case law, combined with the ability to analyse and interpret data to assess liability, quantum, and serious injury granting rates is highly advantageous.
