Our business is growing rapidly, and we have an opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our team in delivering architecture and advisory excellence across our client portfolio, providing technology leadership and driving innovation across the architecture services and function.
As dynamic Leaders in the business, the Architects are required to assist with client solutioning and mentoring engineering resources across their area of discipline including supporting the values of SXiQ and strategies derived by the Executive team
**About you**
- Lead the development of initiative and technology roadmaps and strategy, based on requirements from all facets of the business, from operations to sales teams and the Executive Leadership Team;
- Own the lifecycle of the clients architecture strategy, ensuring it is continuously feasible and successfully and seamlessly meets business goals over time;
- Be responsible for the design of the cloud service's architecture and repeatable patterns for use by other domain architects and engineers, in alignment with the business strategy;
- Analyse business requirements to develop detailed technical design and architectural plans and frameworks;
- Develop and deliver internal technical presentations, proposals, systems design and configuration, costing and strategies;
- Provide assistance and support for other departments, peers, managers and architects to understand, to comply and implement strategies. Similarly, review and update strategies where impractical or infeasible concepts have difficulty being realised, as a part of a continuous lifecycle management process;
- Lead the development of an overall architecture plan that supports SXiQ's current and future business direction and provides a revenue generating stable core cloud service platform;
- Lead the evaluation, design and implementation of security models, solutions, frameworks, best practices and standards for secured, multi-tenanted network architecture;
- Partner with outside network vendors to access products and services to ensure vendor strategies and roadmaps align realistically with the company's roadmaps;
- Provide guidance to architects and engineers on best practices during design and implementation in all areas including network design
**Requirements**:
- Ability to lead highly complex architectural solutions;
- Drive outcomes aligned to KPIs and key business drivers;
- Ability to set tactical strategies and drive change across business unit pillars;
- Ability to engage and guide Customer outcomes and problem resolution.
- Innovative thinking and analysis to influence developments within areas of responsibility;
- Ability to prioritise - Accountable for work organisation, the allocation of resources of within and the outputs required of the work area;
- Generate improvement process and productivity initiatives.
- Knowledge of integrated cloud services models, multi-tenanted service-provider models, as well as a broad technical understanding of cloud infrastructure services, enterprise security architecture, compute services, storage, large-scale networking, virtualization, data centre operations, systems resiliency, disaster recovery, service support and ITIL processes for service strategy, design, transition, operation and continuous service improvement;
- Knowledge of ITIL and ISO 20001 principles and procedures.
- 5 + years' experience in a customer-facing IT Architect role - Infrastructure Architect, Solution Architect, Software Architect;
- Experience in creating detailed cost models, statements of work, proposals, technical and business strategy documents;
- Certification in an Enterprise Architecture framework such as TOGAF 9.1;
- Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure - compute, virtualisation, storage and networks;
- Experience with multi-tenant public and private cloud Infrastructure as a Service environments;
- A wide understanding of the infrastructure stack from Storage, Network and Compute beneficial;
