If you are passionate about innovation, thrive in fast-paced environments, embrace challenges, dislike bureaucracy, and are excited about disrupting the status quo, then read on to learn more.We're seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Sales team.As a BDR, you will be the first point of contact for potential merchants via inbound calls, web forms, and outreach to Marketing Qualified Leads.
You'll conduct comprehensive discovery to understand their goals, pain points, and priorities to determine if Zeller is a suitable solution.Success in this role requires the ability to quickly understand diverse business needs.
You'll become an expert in payments, technology, and the issues relevant to Australian SMEs.
Using your persuasive personality and passion for success, you'll document and track qualified opportunities to pass to your colleagues in Sales.
You will proactively prospect and connect with businesses fitting Zeller's offerings.This entry-level position is ideal for motivated, persistent self-starters comfortable with ambiguity.
Candidates should have experience in customer-facing roles, such as Customer Success, Customer Support, or face-to-face retail or consultative sales.On Any Given Day You WillQualify and convert inbound leads, marketing qualified leads, and prospect for new opportunities to accelerate Zeller's sales pipeline;Conduct exploratory calls to qualify sales opportunities before passing them to Account Executives;Proactively reach out via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn;Help optimize outreach strategies, lead-generation playbooks, and qualification criteria to exceed targets and deliver excellent merchant experiences;Schedule meetings between qualified merchants and Account Executives, ensuring smooth handovers;Research market gaps and opportunities, creating detailed lead lists to support growth;Stay informed on SME, technology, payments, and business trends relevant to Zeller's merchants.Your Skills And ExperienceAt least 1 year of experience in roles such as Sales Development, Business Development, Customer Success, or Product/Onboarding Specialist;Experience with prospecting techniques, including cold calling and outreach;Proven track record of achieving sales or activity goals;Experience with CRM software like Hubspot or Salesforce;Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills;Demonstrable ability to identify target customers, evaluate interest, understand decision processes, and qualify leads;Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.How We WorkOur team values in-person collaboration, spending most of the week at our Melbourne CBD office, which is spacious and stocked with snacks.BenefitsCompetitive salary including equity;Supportive, progressive work environment;Excellent leave entitlements;Great office environment;Learning and development opportunities;Social and team-building activities;Influence on the future of Zeller as we scale domestically and globally.Join one of Australia's most exciting scale-ups.At Zeller, we value passion, drive, and integrity.
