Medical Receptionist required to work at Waterfront Medical Centre located in Wentworth Point next to Sydney Olympic Park. Friendly staff and doctors.

We are an AGPAL Accredited General Practice seeking a professional, compassionate and friendly receptionist to join our team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and closing the practice
  • Greeting patients in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering telephone calls and dealing with face to face enquiries
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Sending and receiving correspondence on behalf of the practice and health professionals within the practice
  • Maintaining a clean reception area
  • Triaging
  • Managing and maintaining stationery and office supplies
  • Billing consultations to Medicare
  • Processing payments via EFTPOS and HICAPS
  • Responding to afterhours voicemail
  • Assisting management with administrative and practice maintenance matters as required including bookkeeping tasks
  • Undertaking filing, mailing and word processing tasks
  • Maintaining high standard of ethics and confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients/clients, staff and workplace matters.

Required:

  • Previous work experience in a medical centre
  • Fluent English speaking
  • Good communication skills
  • Friendly and compassionate
  • Professional Presentation

Desirable

  • Experience with Best Practice Software and Microsoft

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have strong communication and multitasking skills, and enjoy working as part of a team.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
