Medical Receptionist – Full-Time or Part-Time

Location: Punchbowl, NSW

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

We're looking for a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at a busy general practice in Punchbowl. This is a permanent full-time or part-time position with room to grow. If you love helping people and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

You'll report directly to the Practice Manager and be responsible for front desk operations, welcoming patients, managing appointments, and handling a range of administrative duties.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting patients and medical reps
  • Managing phone calls and appointment bookings
  • Billing patients and processing Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover claims
  • Collecting payments and reconciling accounts
  • Supporting practice accreditation and promotional initiatives
  • Managing patient flow and keeping the waiting area tidy
  • General reception duties and ordering medical/office supplies

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist in a general practice
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • A friendly and professional attitude
  • Punctuality and reliability
  • Experience with Best Practice or similar medical software
  • Knowledge of Medicare billing and general practice procedures
  • A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $27.00 – $33.00 per hour
