About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis (2–3 days per week). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional manner, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy medical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and providing excellent customer service
  • Answering phones and managing appointment bookings (HotDoc/Medical Director experience highly regarded)
  • Processing Medicare and private billing
  • Managing recalls, results, and correspondence
  • Assisting doctors, nurses, and patients as required
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a medical or healthcare reception role preferred
  • Proficiency in Medical Director software experience desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Flexibility to cover additional shifts when required (desirable)
