Aurora Life, a rapidly growing online telehealth medical cannabis clinic, is seeking skilled and compassionate General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners, based in Australia to join our telehealth team.
As an Aurora Life prescriber, you can flexibly provide the hours that best suit you and
conduct patient consults from the comfort of your home. You are supported by a
patient care team, clinic manager, and hands on directors who take care of your
admin, and you receive access to dedicated purpose-built systems to increase your
efficiency, so you can focus on providing the best care and patient outcomes. Learn

Conducting consultations via telehealth, across patients with chronic pain,
anxiety, insomnia and other TGA approved conditions
● Prescribing and managing plant medicine treatments plans
● Maintaining clear clinical documentation within patient medical records
● Build positive rapport and a judgment-free environment in a telehealth context
● Eagerness to learn new skills and to immerse yourself in the plant medicine
space
These are fully remote roles that can be based anywhere within Australia,
offered on an Independent Contractor (ABN) basis.
We are seeking Doctors and nurses who have an interest in medical cannabis
prescribing and have an ongoing commitment to the Aurora Life team and patients.
● Medical Degree
● AHPRA registration with Nil Restrictions
● Medical Malpractice Insurance - covering telehealth
● Have or able to obtain a Medicare Provider Number
● VR or non-VR GPs welcome
● Must be based in Australia (we do not offer the ability to work form overseas)
● Excellent communication, strong work ethic and attention to detail
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment
● Current ABN
The role will require you to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and
develop therapeutic treatment plans, based on patient needs, and incorporating
medical cannabis therapies.
Previous experience in prescribing medical cannabis will be highly regarded
but is not essential. We will provide comprehensive training and support to
help you onboard and obtain the necessary certification to confidently
prescribe medical cannabis to patients.Support for SAS B applications and
becoming authorised prescribers will be provided.
Requirements:
- You must have valid and unrestricted registration as a General Practitioner in
Australia - AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication.
- Knowledge of medical cannabis and its therapeutic applications is desirable,
although training and education will be provided for suitable candidates. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport, provide empathetic
care, and explain complex medical concepts to patients
