Authorised Prescriber Telehealth Clinical Team Lead: $450K FTE Full time or Part time

The Opportunity:
This is a contractor role (Full-time or Part-time) that combines regular medicinal cannabis prescribing duties with additional leadership responsibilities to ensure the safety, support, and clinical development of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
In addition to their standard clinical load, the Clinical Team Lead will dedicate approximately 10% of their time to:
- Support Escalated Clinical Cases: Provide oversight and guidance on complex patient scenarios referred by other clinicians.
- Script Amendments: Action urgent prescription amendments, ensuring timely and compliant care.
- Clinical Governance: Monitor and support safe prescribing practices within their team.
- Education & Mentorship: Act as a point of clinical guidance for new practitioners, especially those onboarding into medicinal cannabis prescribing.
Requirements:
- Must be an Authorised Prescriber of medicinal cannabis (to manage scripts autonomously).
- AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication.
- Prior experience prescribing medicinal cannabis in a tele-health setting.
- Strong understanding of clinical compliance and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
