Telehealth Medicinal Cannabis Professional

We are seeking an experienced clinical professional to join our team in providing compassionate and innovative solutions for patient care in the field of medicinal cannabis.
About the OpportunityThis role offers autonomy, opportunities for growth, and highly competitive earning potential. The successful candidate will have a dedicated workload that includes script amendments, clinical governance, and education & mentorship.
- Support Escalated Clinical Cases: Provide oversight and guidance on complex patient scenarios referred by other clinicians.
- Script Amendments: Action urgent prescription amendments, ensuring timely and compliant care.
- Clinical Governance: Monitor and support safe prescribing practices within their team.
- Education & Mentorship: Act as a point of clinical guidance for new practitioners, especially those onboarding into medicinal cannabis prescribing.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will dedicate approximately 10% of their time to the above key responsibilities in addition to their standard clinical load.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Must be an Authorised Prescriber of medicinal cannabis (to manage scripts autonomously).
- AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication.
- Prior experience prescribing medicinal cannabis in a tele-health setting.
- Strong understanding of clinical compliance and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
