Telehealth Medicinal Cannabis Prescribing Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join our team as a Telehealth Medical Cannabis Authorised Prescriber. This is a permanent full-time role that combines regular prescribing duties with leadership responsibilities.
The Role:
- Support escalated clinical cases, providing oversight and guidance on complex patient scenarios referred by other clinicians.
- Action urgent prescription amendments, ensuring timely and compliant care.
- Monitor and support safe prescribing practices within the team.
- Act as a point of clinical guidance for new practitioners, especially those onboarding into medicinal cannabis prescribing.
Key Responsibilities
As a Telehealth Medical Cannabis Authorised Prescriber, you will be responsible for managing scripts autonomously and overseeing the safety and support of patients receiving medicinal cannabis treatment.
Requirements
- Must be an Authorised Prescriber of medicinal cannabis.
- AHPRA registration and ability to prescribe Schedule 8 medication.
- Prior experience prescribing medicinal cannabis in a tele-health setting.
- Strong understanding of clinical compliance and patient safety practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
