West Gippsland Healthcare Group (WGHG) is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Business Analyst, Enterprise Projects to play a key role in delivering strategic ICT and digital transformation initiatives across the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact, enterprise-wide projects that enhance system integration, data intelligence, and staff experience. You'll be instrumental in translating complex business needs into practical digital solutions that support clinical workflows, improve operational efficiency, and empower staff to deliver excellent care.

Reporting to the Manager Enterprise Projects, you will work closely with stakeholders across clinical, corporate, and technical teams to gather and analyse business requirements, map current and future-state processes, and ensure project outcomes align with WGHG's strategic priorities. Your expertise will help shape the organisation's digital future, delivering priority initiatives such as accelerated Office 365 implementation, health data optimisation, and system integration.

This role demands a strong foundation in business analysis frameworks, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for driving meaningful change through technology. You'll also contribute to change management, governance, and continuous improvement efforts, helping to build a culture of innovation and data-driven decision-making across WGHG.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Health, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in business analyst methodologies, such as (e.g., BABOK, CBAP).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in business analyst, preferably in a healthcare or public sector environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex ICT projects including EMR, O365, infrastructure upgrades, or cybersecurity initiatives
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across clinical, technical, and executive audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

  • Understanding of clinical workflows and digital health governance.
  • Experience with vendor management, procurement, and contract negotiation.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Health Informatics or Digital Health.
  • Familiarity with Victorian Government procurement processes and eServices registers
  • Experience with change management and training coordination in healthcare settings.

IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond.
