Due to continuous growth and project wins, Winslow has  career opportunities available for  experienced Civil Construction Labourers and Experienced Operators to join our operations team in the Latrobe Valley Region

THE ROLE

In this hands-on role as Civil Construction Labourer and Experienced Plant Operators,

you will be required to:

  • Assist with general clean and tidy-up of site/site shed including removal of rubbish, debris and excess materials and sweeping
  • Assist with the unloading of various materials from delivery vehicles requiring lifting, moving, handling and stacking a wide range of building materials
  • Digging trenches, pits and similar, shovelling soil, rubble and concrete and using a crowbar
  • Ensuring prestarts completed and optimising equipment without damaging it
  • Monitoring of site gates/temporary fencing (lifting and erecting fencing)
  • Lay and remove temporary protective coverings
  • Assist with the implementation of trenching shields

ABOUT YOU

  • Be physically fit
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Can pass a drug and alcohol test ( We have a  ZERO Tolerance to drugs on ALL of our sites, projects and offices )
  • Have a Construction Industry Card ( White Card )
  • Experience in operating some mobile plant equipment
  • Experience in the following is highly regarded – Bulk Earth Works, Design Earthworks and/or Wetlands Earthworks, subdivisions
  • Travel is required,  MUST be willing to travel to and from jobs, drivers licence and reliable transport
