The Steelfixing Group NSW is a Sydney based construction company specializing in multiple areas of expertise catering for all sectors of the construction industry. We provide services to our Partners and Clients across New South Wales. The Steelfixing Group NSW is expanding and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Welder to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting drawings, specifications, and welding symbols to determine requirements
  • Selecting, cutting, and preparing metal materials using thermal cutting and hand tools
  • Performing welding using various techniques including oxy-acetylene, MIG, TIG, and arc welding
  • Assembling metal components and structures to required specifications
  • Inspecting completed welds for quality, alignment, and compliance with standards
  • Repairing and maintaining metal products by welding and related methods
  • Operating safely in accordance with WHS requirements and company safety policies
  • Assisting other trades where necessary and contributing to team-based work

Relevant Qualification Required:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (MEM30305 or equivalent)

Relevant Experience Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Welder

Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Valid Driver's License and own transport desirable
