About the role

ESTAY ENGINEERING is seeking a full-time First Class Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to contribute to the manufacturing and maintenance operations of our growing business. As a first class Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks to high standards.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing high-quality welding and fabrication work to specification (MIG / TIG)
  • Interpreting drawings to fabricate, assemble, and repair a range of metal components and structures
  • Operating various workshop equipment such as bandsaws, press brakes and hand tools.
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant safety procedures
  • Assembling componentry into finished machinery

What we're looking for

  • Formal trade qualification as a First class Welder or Fabricator, OR a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
  • Proven competence in a variety of welding techniques, including finishing to a high standard (grinding / polishing etc)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • A willing & happy attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Forklift licence an advantage
  • Experience operating assembling machinery an advantage, but not necessary
  • Experience working with mild steel and aluminium materials
  • Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for visa sponsorship
