We are seeking an experienced and qualified Pressure Welder to join our professional fabrication team in Minto. The successful candidate will perform high-quality welding on pressure equipment and stainless-steel components, ensuring all work meets technical specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding and assembly requirements.
  • Select, inspect, and prepare appropriate metal stock for pressure welding operations.
  • Cut and shape metal components using flame-cutting torches, hand tools, and metal cutting machinery.
  • Form and bend pipes and metal sections using heating, hammering, and machine tools to achieve required dimensions and curvature.
  • Align, clamp, and secure components accurately prior to welding, using measuring instruments and jigs.
  • Perform high-quality pressure welding using appropriate welding techniques to join metal sections in accordance with standards and specifications.
  • Examine welds to ensure correct penetration, bead formation, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Finish welded products by cleaning, polishing, grinding, and smoothing to achieve the required surface finish and integrity.
  • Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Comply with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pressure Welder or in a similar role within the metal fabrication industry.
  • Proficient in pressure and stainless-steel welding techniques, including TIG and MIG.
  • Sound ability to interpret and follow complex engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality workmanship.
  • Knowledge of fabrication tools, welding safety procedures, and quality inspection standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Holding or working towards a valid pressure welding certification is highly regarded.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $79,040.00 – $108,680.00 per year
