Mondaa Group Pty Ltd is a construction business operating across NSW. Mondaa Group Pty Ltd is expanding and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.

The Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reading project plans, blueprints and drawings and taking measurements
  • Performing MIG, TIG and other types welding based on requirements
  • Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools
  • Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using a variety of equipment and welding machines
  • Joining components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
  • Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
  • Conserving resources whenever possible to comply with project budget requirements
  • Coordinating with field labour crew for efficient installations
  • Cleaning and smoothing welds using techniques such as filing, chiseling, and grinding.
  • Completing products through processes like cleaning, polishing, filing, and treating with acidic solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with handling Fabricated/Welded Structures
  • Experience with MIG welding
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good focus on quality assurance
  • Knowledge of using safe working methods

Desirable Skills:

  • Valid Driving License and transport desirable
  • AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field
  • Construction White Card (NSW Issued Preferred)
  • A strong work ethic, commitment to safety and a can-do-attitude.
