About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cellar Manager to lead our cellar operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can inspire and manage a team while ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all cellar activities. You will work closely with our Winemaking and Production teams, uphold the highest standards of cellar hygiene and safety, and play a key role in the commissioning and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the cellar team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Actively participate in cellar operations while overseeing day-to-day activities.
  • Maintain cellar hygiene to the highest standards, in compliance with GMP requirements.
  • Manage and continually improve cellar processes and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Coordinate the maintenance, servicing, and repair of all cellar equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Assist with the commissioning, installation, and integration of new equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with Winemaking and Production teams to ensure seamless workflow and quality outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a hands-on and proactive approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong understanding of cellar operations, equipment, and hygiene standards.
  • Intermediate computer skills, with the ability to use production and maintenance systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
